This is the first single vineyard Champagne produced by Marguet.
A blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir this Champagne opens with a frothy white mousse that shows good hold. Very pale straw base wine colour with profuse exceptionally fine bead. The nose shows very good intensity with aromas of pear intermingling with yeast lees, brioche and citrus followed by some light toastiness. The palate delivers rich creamy textured flavours of pear and citrus followed by yeast lees, toast and brioche. Clean crisp bright acidity finishing dry. Long citrus, pear, yeast lees, baked bread and light cashew aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years to build some further complexity and texture (2018-2019).
