Pingus 2009: the famous wine that reached 100 points by Robert Parker. And, with a production of only 6,000 bottles the price rose very quickly to a point around the $1200 for a bottle.
Peter Sisseck himself believes that 2009 is the best vintage of Dominio de Pingus so far. One thing is certain: With 2-3 years Pingus is too young to be drunk. This wine has so many layers that need time to evolve and therefore it is a shame to drink this time. That said, with an extreme and although the tannins are firm equilibrium is velvety and smooth. On the nose smells very minerality, earthiness and elegance of dark fruit.
