
Vinha Maria Teresa was only produced in 1998, 2001, 2003 and 2005. The 2001 production was the only Gold Medal for Portuguese wines in Decanter World Wine Awards also winning the Regional Trophy and International Trophy from this competition.
Grapes are hand picked, transported to the winery in small plastic craters, and submit to a very accurate quality selection before being crushed.
Very smooth crushing by man feet in traditional “lagares”. Alcoholic fermentation with mechanical robots, in open stainless steel tanks with temperature controlled.
The 2005 had 96 points on Wine Spectator.
